Effie began her dance journey while living in Greece at the age of 6. She moved back to the US and didn’t begin dancing full-time until she was 10 until 17. The consummate student, Effie dedicated her college years to her BA in English and Film Studies minor, only realizing in her last semester of college that there was a dance minor offered.

She signed up for enough credits to minor in dance as well, which served her next dance chapter well as she moved to Australia to pursue acting and dance and quickly became a part of two dance companies, including Bollydazzlers, a multi-cultural Bollywood dance troupe.

She signed up for the actor’s life when she moved back to the States and dance went on the back burner, but was recently brought back to it with her work on Lily White and then completing a professional program with Genesis Studios.

Her movement is a compilation of all the cultural dances she has learned over the years during her travels as well as site performance influenced works akin to Maya Deren.
